How To Stop Negativity
This challenge is taken from Anthony’s book “Awaken the Giant Within” as it is such a tomb 539 pages I have selected parts to review. I, like millions of others am a great fan of Anthony Robbins. I will tell you about the challenge, but there are also many other benefits from reading the book; It is a practical work-book.
Basically these are the rules of the challenge:
No dwelling on negative thoughts for 10 consecutive days.
When a negative thought appears, immediately replace it with a positive one.
Change the negative state. (For ways to do this, refer to the book)
for the next 10 days focus on solutions to your problems, not the problems.
If you allow yourself to indulge in a negative thought and don’t quickly replace it you must start again for another 10 consecutive days.
I consider myself a positive person but just lately I have had a number of set-backs in fact it has been a difficult year, and I do catch myself being negative. So I to will set myself the 10 days challenge too. If you want a longer description of the rules or need advise on changing negative states is all in the book together with loads of other helpful advice.
So after several falls in the past year, I have seen on a TV shopping channel, “Tai Cheng” a form of Tai Chi. They are a set of exercise videos intended to develop ones strength and balance. This is my first move in looking for solutions, and moving back into positive thinking and I have ordered them.
If you too take this challenge you will be moving towards empowerment and discarding negative ways. You can’t always change events but you can view them in a different light and find the best solutions.
